San Beda University-College of Law held its first online General Assembly today, September 15, via Zoom. 

Dean Marciano Delson, in his opening speech, said that the crux of the event is to โ€œshare the sense of community.โ€

During the online assembly, the College of Law (COL) likewise awarded students with academic achievements for School Year 2020-2021.

The event also included a video tribute to the late COL Vice Dean Atty. Risel Castillo-Taleon, dubbed as the โ€œMother of Lions.โ€ โ€œIt is a void that cannot be filled,โ€ as presented in the video tribute.

Some faculty members of the College also had their Book Launching during the assembly. The professors who presented their books were Vice Dean Francesca Seรฑga, Commissioner Rene Sarmiento, Atty. Timoteo Aquino, Atty. Zarah Villanueva-Castro, and Atty. Joseph Ferdinand Dechavez.

COL Prefect for Student Affairs Atty. Adonis Gabriel facilitated the oath-taking for the new officers of recognized organizations.

In the latter part of the assembly, a discussion of the Collegeโ€™s academic and retention policies as well as other online learning rules were conducted by Atty. Gabriel and COL Administrative Officer Atty. Lyan Juanico. 

Vice Dean Seรฑga gave the closing remarks commending students for their perseverance in pursuing the study of law amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic.

A Marian Recollection was held in the afternoon for the second half of the online assembly.
