In another semester we will have a new President. Crucial that we elect someone, with the highest respect to human rights and integrity, among other positive values.
After Marcos we could have had Ninoy Aquino (Cory), Diokno, Salonga, Mitra, et al. had we not distorted the evolution of leadership. We had 20 years of Marcos whose worst sin is arguably destroying the natural transition cycle and cutting down many potential national leaders in the flower of their youth.
Let not the distortion be forever. Let you, the centennials, bloom. Let public issues be put front and center in May 2022, your task as campus journalists in a critical political exercise.
