When the world is asleep, and you can’t keep your eyes shut, what do you think will silence your unheard screams?
When the place is too crowded, and you’re alone, what do you think will break you from you?
This is yet another ramble of thoughts that may differ from yours, but we’re just bonded human beings, somewhat down and trapped along the road, so here it goes.
I become unfazed by the thought of needing a thought. Staring at the unending darkness of the night, I look at the time, it’s already three o’clock. The train tracks start to crackle like blocks. In a minute, I need to get up. The stillness of the day sways me through the afternoon hours, of what mundane feels that fills the awkwardness of this empty place.
I lie awake, obsessed with the grandeur—the most viral moments of our lives, not seeing the threads that hold together our days: the way we miss our train rides, hunt lost pens, recycle old printed notes, or even ask our friends if they have already fallen asleep. These unremarkable moments are the obscure architects that shape our days.
The mundane things are easy to dismiss as a passing wind, but they are the heartbeat of human experience. They capture the essence of our stillness, which depicts our everyday life, offering a lens through the balance between the ordinary and the extraordinary.
So much for harmonies, little puzzle pieces that fit our harmony. I hope you enjoy your mundane blues just as much as I delight in mine.
